BPW fetes Weatherford

The City of Weatherford received the Weatherford BPW Employer Excellence Award at a Thursday ceremony. The award recognizes companies or organizations that promote full participation, equity and economic self-sufficiency for Texas’ working women. Employers are selected based on several criteria, including how women are proportionately represented in top management and/or board positions; how salaries, raises and promotions reflect equitable organizational policy; if the organization has an internal vehicle which provides communication among all levels of management; if the organization provides incentives such as internal and external training, education reimbursement, etc; and if the organization encourages and supports employee involvement in community organizations. The award at the local level makes the City eligible to receive it at the state level. Peggy Hutton nominated City Hall for the award.
