Novacek presents ID seminar

Identity theft is the focus of a seminar presented by former Dallas Cowboy Jay Novacek and his partner, Bowie Ballard.

Organized by the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce’s Business Development Committee, the seminar begins with Novacek talking about his days as a professional football player, but shifts into information that’s important to everyone.

The emphasis is on keeping business owners and their customers safe. Identity theft is reaching epidemic proportions, and awareness is essential to overcoming it.

The seminar is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Doss Heritage and Culture Center, 1400 Texas Drive in Weatherford. It costs $15 for chamber members, $20 for non-members. A box lunch from Chicken Scratch Bistro is provided.
