Millsap woman commended by USN

Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Paula M. Ludwick, daughter of Karen L. and Henry W. Porter of Millsap, recently received a letter of commendation and was selected as Senior Sailor of the Quarter. The commendation came as Ludwick served as force mass communication specialist assigned to Commander, Naval Surface Forces located in San Diego.

Ludwick assisted in implementing the Leaders to Sea program and coordinated coverage for key Naval Surface Forces events, resulting in the distribution of strategic messages to an international audience.

She performed additional duties as Command Managed Equal Opportunity Coordinator; Assistant Command Drug and Alcohol Program Advisor; First Class Petty Officer Association Vice President and Events Planner; and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Vice President.

Ludwick is a 1998 graduate of Millsap High School, and joined the Navy in December 1998.

She is a 2007 graduate of Coastline Community College, San Diego, Calif. with a associate’s degree.
